Construction

For the production of we will rock you, I will be a member of the stage crew. the responsibilities I was given was to ensure that all the actors knew where they were going, that they knew where there props were and if they needed any assistance with taking any of the set/props onstage. One of the props that I had to take on to stage was the massage bed that was used as one of the prison beds. With the bed that I had to take on we had a slight problem with which was that it wouldn’t stay closed properly before and after it was needed on stage. The created the possibility of it falling over and making a loud noise during the performance. A pro is that fortunately we managed to avoid that situation occurring by propping it up against something on a slight tilt to keep it closed. The sliding doors of the subway were quite unstable and often got stuck when we tried to move them. We managed to get around this problem though by lifting the doors slightly before sliding them open.

Another thing that I believe went well during the performance is, we cleared any unnecessary Items out of the actor’s ways so that it didn’t make them late for their part or trip on anything.
A problem that we had to deal with was one of the audience was sick on the stairs back stage that the actors needed to use to get on stage, we managed to clean it up and dry it on time before it could make any difference to the show/actors slip or slow them down.

Overall I don’t believe that much went too bad, everything ran smoothly (the lighting and sound cues were all fine. The actors got on and off stage when they were needed. The props were all set where they needed ready to be used. The only thing I can think that I may have changed would be fixing the doors or using a different method of opening them.
